SBIR Workshop - feedback

Read what previous participants took home from the 2-day workshop:
THIS COURSE GAVE ME REALLY GOOD IDEA ON HOW PROPOSALS SHOULD BE WRITTEN. THANK YOU!

Jim and Nancy gave excellent guidance, both from a process and a content standpoint.

Presenting written abstracts was an excellent idea; it gave people an idea of what is required of a good abstract, and hopefully an understanding of the importance of having a well written abstract.

I found the budgeting to be the most beneficial as it is the most abstract and nuanced from the surface. I'm new to the process and this was a great introduction.

The entire pre seminar checklist for getting registered was enormously helpful, as was the homework for developing the abstract.

The budget discussion was eye opening, and the peer review session was outstanding!

It helped greatly to have further insight into the process, and to walk me through the application.

[Most beneficial was] the insight to the review system and in particular the new scoring.

Most SBIR training is broad in scope and they are never able to truly touch on the reviewing component.

With this workshop, the narrow focus on NIH is a huge benefit...and a unique workshop in that sense.

[Most beneficial was] budgeting and understanding different types of costs (direct/indirect, allowable/unallowable)

We have a resubmission and we are discussing our submission strategy.

Nancy and Jim helped tremendously to understand the scoring system and as a result to better position our resubmission. Great insight.
